OVERVIEW:
The owners of this beautiful home in Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, Colorado, performed an extensive remodel to the interior of the home with upgrades that flowed to the exterior. This home sat right on a golf course with the back side facing hole #9, where golfers teeing off that had a left hook would frequently hit the house and patio. This made it challenging to have a relaxing afternoon on the back patio, particularly since it was southwest-facing with full exposure to the sun and no trees for shade.
The owners enjoyed being outdoors, entertaining, cooking, and relaxing with friends and family. The remodel included a large, wrap-around back patio with an outdoor kitchen and grilling area and a stone fire pit surrounded by lounge chairs. The only thing missing was protection from stray golf balls and intense sun exposure.

CHALLENGE:
A large, full-length octagon-shaped bay window sat adjacent to the L-shaped back patio, posing a challenge to seamlessly attach any structure with this multi-faceted design. Architectural designers had been leading the home remodel and planned for the pergola to attach to the wall on one side and remain free-standing on the other, with a main section that goes out around the bay window.
SOLUTION
StruXure Denver collaborated with the designing architects and worked with a general contractor to coordinate the Pivot 6 pergola footprint and installation with the building of the new patio. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with architects and builders for seamless installation. Our pergola installation team was able to pour the footings right at the edge of the patio, prior to the patio completion. This allows us to top mount the posts through the pavers and into our concrete footings.
We installed a four-zone, beautiful white pergola to match the exterior home décor that followed the footprint of the patio. Two zones are attached to the house, and two zones are freestanding on the other side, semi-attached to the first pergola to create an L-shaped design. The adjustable louvered roof with a ceiling fan allows for the perfect amount of sunlight and breeze to flow through the extended outdoor living space.
