RESIDENTIAL PERGOLA
Central Park 80238
OVERVIEW:
Central Park, Colorado, is a neighborhood within the Denver city limits previously known as Stapleton. The Stapleton International Airport closed in 1995, and the new neighborhood of Central Park, located just east of Denver, was constructed right on top of the old airport site, with the only telling sign being one lone tower still standing. Hundreds of acres were developed into a brand new community with several new homes and Denver’s third-largest Park featuring athletic fields, RC boating, sledding, playgrounds, and more.
This new neighborhood is somewhat exposed without the mature trees found in other established areas. This particular homeowner was looking to extend their living space onto the back patio area with some shade and privacy under a pergola that attached seamlessly to the house.

CHALLENGE:
One challenging aspect of this pergola installation was that the home already featured a small 4’ x 22’ covered back porch with a step down to the main outdoor patio area. This meant the pergola installation would have to step down as well, or it would end up being too high. StruXure Denver designed the perfect solution with the small section covered with a fixed panel roof without adjustable louvers, stepping down to the attached larger two-zone pergola with adjustable louvers.
SOLUTION
The Pan 6 was the best choice for this installation, with an interlocking, fixed panel roof attached to the house covering the smaller 4’ x 22’ section, as the small area did not require adjustable louvers. The Pan 6 two-zone pergola with adjustable louvers was attached to this with a step-down installation. The Pan 6 pergola is perfect for multiple zones and expansive projects where automation is not required in each panel. This provided seamless integration of the fixed panel, Pan 6, 4’ x 22’ roof attached to the larger two-zone adjustable louvered roof section.
This multi-zone pergola in gray matches the color of the house perfectly and features a fan, lights, and a sound system. A remote control adjusts the louvers for precise adjustment of sunlight and airflow and closes completely to protect against rain and snow.
Privacy shades on all three sides further enhance this space, providing shade and privacy as this neighborhood does not allow residents to have tall fences. The shades are motorized for convenience and allow for the homeowner on this corner lot that faces the street to see out and still enjoy the scenery, but passersby cannot see in, thereby further enhancing privacy.
RESULTS:
The Pan 6 provides the perfect solution for versatility and protection where multiple zones and fixed and static roof panels are required. The ability to adjust the louvered roof allows for fresh air and sunlight to flow through or can also be closed off for a more secluded, relaxing afternoon or evening on the patio, even during rainfall.
The motorized screens extend the living space of this beautiful Central Park home with an adjustable space that can be opened up to enjoy the outdoors or closed in to relax in privacy.
BENEFITS:
StruXure Denver completed this installation in just a few days, allowing the homeowner to quickly enjoy the space with a sofa and a fire pit in a luxurious and comfortable outdoor living area.
